Friday, December 14th marks the first annual PDXmas bash!
Please come to the Ash Street Saloon. The party starts at 8pm, and we ask that you bring an unwrapped toy and $5. This will get you in the door for a whole night of festive activities AND a free PDXmas CD.
15 bands / artists will be performing their orignial Holiday Song plus assorted other Christmas favorites. The Marines will be present hosting a toy drive.
All proceeds (toys and cover charge and CD sales!) from the evening goes to the Toys for Tots foundation. See you Friday!

OVERVIEW
For a staggering number of children in the Portland area, the holiday season is far from festive. Thankfully, there are many charities and organizations committed to making a child’s memories of the holidays a joyous one.
PDXmas is a charitable program—a collaborative effort—involving 11 Portland bands. These musicians will be a part of a compilation of Christmas songs for the 2007 holiday season entitled, “PDXmas Vol. 1.” The proceeds of the sale of this CD will then be donated to "Toys for Tots."
The bands that are involved in this project are well-established, Portland-based bands with at least 2 commercial releases. Each band has an established fan base and currently tours and performs regionally and appears on either local radio or tv.
The production of “PDXmas Vol. 1” is already underway. Bands have eagerly started writing and recording for this wonderful project. The CD, “PDXmas Vol. 1” will be released for distribution this December.
Additionally, the artists that contribute songs to this compilation will be performing these songs plus other Christmas songs on December 14th. This will be a holiday party to promote both the CD and awareness for "Toys for Tots" foundation. The Ash Street Saloon in downtown Portland has graciously donated the venue for the evening.
INVOLVEMENT
Currently, there are many people, musicians, and sponsors committed to this year’s PDXmas program. At the time of this writing, the list includes:

DISTRIBUTION
The main distribution for “PDXmas” will be via online vendor and sponsor, "CD Baby." Additionally, the CD will be made available through the pdxmas.com website, and through Apple's iTunes store.
Secondary distribution for PDXmas will be through local retailers, like coffee shops, cafes, pubs, book stores, music stores, etc. Details of physical distribution are contingent upon pending corporate sponsorship (below).
CORPORATE SPONSORS
Right now, PDXmas has many artists donating their time and their creativity. However, there are a few items that will require some financial, and perhaps strategical / tactical assistance. With a minimal amount of corporate help, we can help many of Portland’s less fortunate children. We invite you to consider how you can help give back to our wonderful community!
PDXmas is currently seeking corporate sponsors to help with the success of this project. Corporate sponsors have the option of making their role high-profile through co-branding in ads, collateral, and websites, as well as reciprocal weblinks and cross-advertising.
